Art Hop

I have been crafting a lot lately.   Crafting is a great release for me and I truly enjoy it.  I try to paint, make jewelry or make mosaics while the kids are napping or in the evening after they are asleep.  Needless to say, our house and garage is full of my crafts and in need of new homes. One of my friends bought a booth at an Art Hop and asked if I would share it with her (along with one other friend) - I said YES.  I have never sold any of my art work and was really excited.  It was this past weekend and I LOVED it.  I had a blast meeting new people, seeing other peoples art work and selling mine, of course.  I received great praise from strangers and am now inspired to create/sell more. Check it out...

The Small Things

The last several weeks have been busy with work, kids being sick, and just life in general. I can get stressed out, but these 2 little ones bring me back to reality and make me realize that the simplest things can make one relax, happy and smile.  I love their innocence and the pleasure they get out of the smallest things.
For instance...

  playing with a measuring tape,
taking shelter under a tree from pouring rain,
smiling at a brother running down a trail,
sitting in a field of daisies,
making up songs on the banjo,
wanting to be like big brother,
using their imagination to "fix" things like daddy,
and creativity.

I love these little ones so much and they truly make me happy.
